About

I am an ethologist* and primatologist. My specialties include how primates and other animals respond to change, stress and trauma. I am actively involved in teaching, research and writing related to these topics and to animal protection more generally. I feel privileged to work on behalf of animals as a dedicated advocate.

Curious to know more? To the right, you’ll see that I’ve provided some background pages on my education as well as the work I do through writing, speaking, and formal teaching and training. Please feel free to explore them.

In addition to a range of other work, I am the co-founder of the International Association for Animal Trauma and Recovery and serve as a Research Associate with the Kerulos Centre.

*Ethology is another word for the study of animal behavior.
